Providing Superior Service for the Hearing Impaired of Baton Rouge, LA for Over 40 Years
Welcome to Scallan Hearing Aid & Audiology. If this is your first visit to our website, I would like to tell you a little about us and how we can meet your hearing needs.
I’m Laurie Scallan Morrison, and in April of 1976, my father Leo Scallan started this practice. In 1989, I joined him full-time. I have maintained this office to be an independent dispenser, meaning you can be fit with the best hearing aid for your specific hearing loss and have the option of many manufacturers rather than just one.
For over 40 years Scallan Hearing Aid & Audiology has served hearing impaired individuals just like yourself. Please visit us to let us show you how we can best serve you and your family.
Our staff has extensive experience working with a variety of hearing impaired patients. We stay current on the latest industry information and strive to serve your individual needs.
Willing To Teach
We know that hearing devices take time to adjust to, so we make it our goal to teach our patients how to get the most out of life with their new devices. We welcome any questions you might have about this important transition.
Not only have we been serving the needs of hearing impaired individuals for over 40 years, but Laurie herself knows firsthand what it’s like to live with hearing impairment. Our staff takes pride in our knowledge and always puts your needs first.
Our practice started in 1976 when it was founded by Leo Scallan and has stayed in the family since its inception. We believe this aspect of our practice makes us that much more compassionate and caring.
Living with a hearing impairment can change the quality of your relationships and how much you get out of each day. We want you to live to your fullest and know that we have the tools and information that can make a difference.
We hold your desires in high regard, and will never try to make a recommendation that isn’t right for you. Our aim is to meet your needs and educate you on all of your hearing device options.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, Theresa and Jane for the wonderful experience you have afforded me at Scallan Hearing Aid and Audiology Center. You have taken the time to properly diagnose my hearing loss and provide me with the hearing aid solution adaptable to my condition. An active life is important to me and because of you I am able to live my life to the fullest while enjoying family, friends, church, movies, plays, sporting events and everyday television programs. I have great respect for Laurie. The fact that she lives her life with a hearing deficiency enables her to provide comfort, true experience and valuable help to her patients. One of the great tips that she provided to me was to sit with your back to the wall when in a noisy restaurant or meeting to help filter the background noise. What a difference that makes and I practice that tip often in my daily life. Due to your expertise, I can enjoy a quality of life that I may not have been able to enjoy without my hearing. I am very pleased with your service and with my hearing aids. Thank you Laurie, Theresa and Jane for taking such good care of me.”
“Thank you for your time and patience in getting my mom fitted with a hearing aid. She is so happy that she can understand and participate in our conversations. She has been wanting to hear better for such a long time. I very much appreciated the care you showed mom on our consultation appointments.”
